Job Summary

Homewood Disposal is seeking candidates for the Staff Accountant position.  This position will handle the monthly accounting process (i.e. bank reconciliations, work papers, journal entries, daily banking activity) and the preparation of the financial statements.  You will also complete monthly, quarterly & annual government reporting requirements. Additionally, you will work with the Corporate Controller on new and different ways of reporting financial information.  This position is 100% in the office with hours of Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. 

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in relevant financial field
• 1–3 years of professional accounting or corporate finance experience preferred but not required

Skills and Qualifications

• Tech-forward, data-centric mindset
• High attention to detail and adherence to confidentiality
• Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products, namely Excel
• Database querying & report writing skills using SQL or Power BI given preference
• Knowledge of Microsoft Accounting Systems (Business Central) a plus
