How Do I Prepare My Yard Waste For Pick Up?
Collection Methods
In a Separate Yard Waste Cart or in a Personal Can
Many villages have provided residents a separate yard waste cart for each home. Other villages have the availability for residents to add a yard waste cart to their current service level.
In a Paper Biodegradable Yard Waste Bag
Some village waste programs require yard waste stickers to be purchased and attached to each bag of yard waste. Yard waste bags can be purchased at your local grocery store or hardware store. Yard waste stickers can be purchased at our offices in Homewood, Park Forest and Tinley Park or at vendor locations listed below.
Wrapped as Small Bundles of Branches
Small bundled branches can be place at the curb for collection. Some villages also require yard waste stickers to be attached to these bundles.

Please note, your yard waste service is designed for weekly residential yard maintenance. We do not collect material like stumps, large branches, rock and brick generated by commercial tree trimming or large landscaping projects.
