3 Floyds Brewery Event – Munster Indiana

The anticipation is about to bubble over this week at 3 Floyds Brewery as preparations are under way for their annual Dark Lord Day beer festival. This one-day event attracts thousands of beer lovers from around the world to the small town of Munster, Indiana. They flock for a chance to take home a few bottles of the Russian Imperial Stout, the “Dark Lord”. Yes, the beers made at this Indiana location are consistently marked as some of the best beers in the world. Live music and food vendors top off the event, making Muster the place to be on April 30.

The coveted tickets sell quickly and thousands of tickets have been sold out for some time. So don’t plan on quick swinging by in the afternoon, this is for the dedicated beer lover.

With a crowd of this size, keeping the event clean can be difficult. Homewood Disposal, also known as Star Disposal in Indiana, was called in to provide 3 Floyds Brewery with six 30 yard dumpsters and 100 garbage carts for the event. Set-up for the event takes a small army of industrious help. Tom Huisenga, Homewood Disposal account manager, was on-site the day before the event making sure everything ran smoothly.

“This event has really exploded since it started a few years ago. said Tom, I can remember when there was just a few hundred people here, now we’re providing garbage service for thousands of attendees.”

More food options and more attendees have increased 3 Floyds’ service level for the event over the years. Of course, Dark Lord Day isn’t the only time we serve 3 Floyds. We’re also proud to serve this growing Indiana business the other 364 days of the year.
