Trucks need space to deliver your dumpster. To reduce the chances of causing accidental damage to your property, we recommend being conscious of any wires, branches or other items that are overhead. By doing this, you will make the delivery of your dumpster both quicker and safer.

Here’s another tip we have learned from our 60+ years in the disposal industry. By laying down wooden planks or boards where your dumpster will be placed, before it arrives, you can help prevent potential driveway damage. Two sheets of plywood or three pieces of 2×6 lumber will work.

For ease of access to the entire dumpster, it is recommended to give at least 6 feet of space between the back door of the dumpster and other structures. We suggest having an ideal spot for where you want your dumpster before it arrives to save time when your dumpster is delivered.

To keep both yourself and others safe, don’t fill your dumpster higher than the top of the fill line. Another way to ensure the safety of others is by equally distributing the weight of your debris throughout the dumpster. These two tips help prevent debris from sliding or blowing off the dumpster during transport. Please note, in Illinois, you can fill your dumpster with up to 6 tons of debris. In Indiana you can fill it with no more than 4 tons of debris.
