Lamb’s Fold in Joliet – A Roof Over Their Heads
Sometimes we run across some amazing organizations in the neighborhoods we serve. The Lamb’s Fold Center in Joliet, Illinois is one of those amazing groups that deserves to have their story told. The Lamb’s Fold Center helps homeless and abused women and their children by providing them supportive housing, personalized recovery services, and assisting them to achieve self-sufficiency.
Homewood Disposal connected with Lamb’s Fold earlier this month. They we looking for somewhere to put their old roofing materials during an upcoming re-roofing project. We were happy to help provide the three 30 yard dumpsters it would take to hold their old roofing.
The Lamb’s Fold, has been helping women and children for over 30 years. They have housed over 4,300 women and children, providing them with more than 670,000 meals. Housing, transportation, career counseling, life skill classes, and meals are just few of the ways this nonprofit cares for our community.
