Prairie Disposal Joins Homewood Disposal

Service Details

Through this transition your service day and carts will remain the same. We are in the process of making our local routes more efficient. Homewood Disposal will contact you if there are any future changes to your service day.

You may start to see a combination of Prairie Disposal and Homewood Disposal trucks serving your location. Communications about your service will now come from Homewood Disposal Service.

Please remit all payments (including any past due balances) to: Homewood Disposal Service, PO Box 9, Mokena, IL  60448

Current Prairie Disposal carts will remain at your home. Businesses will continue to use their Prairie Disposal dumpsters and containers.

Prairie Disposal customers will soon be able to create a Homewood Disposal login. A Homewood Disposal login will enable you access account information and pay your bill online. If you’d like to take part, your online access code will be printed on your first invoice from Homewood. The Prairie Disposal online portal is no longer available.

Once you receive your first Homewood Disposal invoice you’ll be able to setup a login. To get started, grab your invoice and Click here

Once you’ve accessed your online account, you’ll have the option to have your payments made automatically through your bank account or credit card.

What Should Prairie Disposal Customers Do?
No action is needed from current Prairie Disposal customers. Your account has been seamlessly transferred over to Homewood Disposal. In many cases, the same truck and driver will continue to serve your home or business. You’ll experience the same great personalized service from all our local drivers. We are excited to announce that as of January 1, 2022 Prairie Disposal Service, Inc. has teamed up with Homewood Disposal Service, Inc. to better serve our customers. 

Homewood Disposal will be taking over the management of your trash removal services going forward. ­Prairie Disposal and the Ipema Family would like to thank all our customers for allowing us many great years of service. Both Prairie Disposal and Homewood Disposal are passionate about delivering personal and quality service to its customers. Homewood Disposal is also a family owned, local company and is well-established in the community for over 65 years. These shared business philosophies make coming together to serve our customers agreeable.

We have carefully transferred Prairie Disposal customer account information to Homewood Disposal. Both of our organizations are committed to making sure this transition goes smoothly and your quality service will continue without disruption.
