The Difference Between Front Load and Rear Load Dumpsters
The Difference Between Front Load and Rear Load Dumpsters
Why is my garbage dumpster shaped differently?
Many businesses with weekly scheduled garbage service are curious why the shape of their dumpster might look different than the dumpster in the next town or on the next block. The answer is simple enough, we provide our customers with two different styles of dumpsters, rear load and front load dumpsters. The volume of waste these dumpsters hold is exactly the same, but they look a little different.
The only difference is: the shape of the container and the type of truck that picks up these containers. For example, a 6-yard front load dumpster holds the same amount of waste as a 6-yard rear load dumpster.
A majority of our commercial customers will receive our front load style dumpster when they sign up for weekly garbage service with us. Some customers with difficult to access alleys, tight spaces, specialized services, or low overhead clearance will receive a rear load dumpster. Our helpful employees will make the decision on the style of dumpster for you based on your location and service details.

Permanent Commercial Dumpster
The information above refers to permanent commercial containers that remain at a business location. These types of dumpsters are usually smaller and handle all the weekly trash or recycling a business creates. Employees fill the dumpster each week with office or manufacturing waste. A garbage truck arrives on a scheduled pick up day and empties the materials into the garbage truck. This process is repeated daily, weekly or monthly depending on the businesses waste removal needs.
Temporary Construction Dumpster
Large roll off construction dumpsters are a temporary, project-based solution for waste collection. These large dumpsters are delivered to work sites and clean up projects at the request of a business or homeowner. Workers load the container with garbage during the course of the project. Once the dumpster is full, a truck will arrive and removes both the dumpster and the waste inside. The result is a clean and safe work environment throughout the construction or clean up process.
